Archipelago Gold explores the idea of blurred border between the outdoors and indoors. Crystalline textures running through the surface of the wallpaper create traces reminiscent of landscapes in the Finnish archipelago. The design was created by experimental painting technique utilising salt and liquid sugar. By applying salt or sugar on watercolour the pigment forms intriguing traces on a wet base. The wallpaper is finished with gold metallic coating that highlights the ethereal atmosphere.
